Swara Popat is an Associate in the Sports and Gaming Team at Krida Legal. She is a graduate of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme from Jindal Global Law School and an alumna of Sushila Birla Girls’ School, Kolkata.
Before joining Krida Legal, Swara gained experience in sports law, online gaming regulation, and commercial disputes. Committed to her interest in sports law, she visited the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland as a quarterfinalist at the Sports Law Arbitration Moot. She was also selected as a mentee in the LawInSport Mentorship Programme, where she deepened her understanding of the international sports ecosystem.
A former national-level rower and an avid long-distance runner, Swara has always been passionate about sport. She now combines that passion with her legal training to contribute to matters involving online gaming, commercial contracting, and regulatory advisory.
Outside of work, she enjoys running, playing the guitar, and is a devoted FC Barcelona supporter.
