Karunakar is a dedicated sports law professional and a member of the Sports, Entertainment, and Intellectual Property team at Krida Legal. He graduated with a B.A. LL.B. (IPR Law Hons.) from National Law University, Jodhpur in 2024. Prior to that, he completed his schooling at Sanskriti School, New Delhi.
He has developed a strong foundation in intellectual property law, with practical experience in the drafting and negotiation of service contracts, as well as in the filing and drafting of documents relating to registration of trademarks. His work spans across various areas of sports and IPR law, including the preparation and review of legal notices, legal opinions, and contractual agreements.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Karunakar has actively played badminton, cricket, and football. He captained his university's football team and continues to be an ardent follower of the sport. He is a passionate supporter of Manchester United and also closely follows the NBA.
