Aanya is a passionate lawyer and works in the Sports, Entertainment and Intellectual Property team at Krida Legal. She is a graduate of B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) in Corporate Law from Amity University, Noida, and an alumna of Welham Girls School, Dehradun.
She has worked across a range of matters in the sports and entertainment sectors, including advising on the production and licensing of television shows, films and music, as well as supporting the structuring and operations of sports leagues. She regularly represents franchisees in commercial negotiations and helps develop and review a wide variety of documentation, including those related to athlete and celebrity endorsements, talent and event collaborations, and digital platform operations. Her background includes secondments at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited and boAt Lifestyle. She has also contributed to matters involving intellectual property and gaming law, and has been involved in sports-related and other litigation. She works closely with the firm’s team to provide legal opinions on commercial, regulatory and contractual matters.
Being an avid sports and entertainment enthusiast, she has seamlessly aligned her career with her passion. A former athlete, she played basketball and badminton throughout school and university, and has represented Uttarakhand at multiple national-level basketball tournaments. She’s also an ardent Roger Federer fan.
